Thomas Christopher “Face” Streeter

Thomas Christopher “Face” Streeter

February 10, 1970 – May 8, 2025

Thomas Christopher “Face” Streeter was born to the late Dora Mae Rorie on February 10, 1970. On May 8, 2025, God call his beloved son Thomas Christopher Streeter home. He was preceded in death by his mom Dora Mae Rorie, two brothers John Alexander Rorie and Robert Rorie, one sister, Mary (Pumpkin) Rorie Grandparents: William & Mary Rorie.

Chris was born in Hickory North Carolina, during his early childhood he relocated with his mom and brother John to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and there he would go on to graduate from Peabody High School. He was an advent music connoisseur who enjoyed dancing, travel and the thrill of amusement parks. Some of his most fond memories included summers gallivanting throughout the Burgh with his nieces and nephews.

As a young adult he interned at the radio station WAMO in Pittsburgh where he was able to meet many of his favorite musicians including the legendary Patti LaBelle. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in1997 and then found an appreciation for a career in the hospitality industry spending numerous years working for luxury hotels. At the turn of the millennium, he relocated to Northern Virginia and began a prosperous career with Amtrak for nearly two decades.

Despite his many academic and career accomplishments, Chris’s greatest pride was always his family. He cherished nothing more than being the beloved baby brother to his sisters, a role he embraced with deep affection and joy. A profound moment in his life was the reunion with his long-lost brother, RL-a bond that brought him unexpected joy and a sense of completeness. The greatest reward, though, was becoming an uncle and great uncle to a growing family of nieces and nephews, a title he wore with pride. At family functions, Chris could often be found in the kitchen, at the grill, or behind the bar—mixing up the perfect cocktails and preparing delectable cuisine that brought everyone together.

Chris was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan, cheering the team on when they were winning and fusing and getting frustrated when they played bad and loss. His passion and love for the Pittsburgh Steeler team was like no other, he was the team’s number # 1 fan.

Chris, a believer in God committed his life to Christ, now rests in eternal peace. He joins his beloved mother, Dora Mae, in heaven, along with two brothers, John and Robert, and his cherished sister Mary (“Pumpkin”). Carrying his memory forward are his sisters: Annette Nelson (Clarence “Pops”) of Dale City, VA, and Glenda Rorie of Wilmington, NC; his brother, Robert Mclean (Madina) of Fayetteville, NC; one loving aunt, Daisy Rorie of Pittsburgh, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews to include; CJ, Michelle, BJ, De, Rick, Quinton, Dek, Caress, Megan, TJ, Sam, Laquetta, Precious and Malik. As well as a host of many cousins, and dear friends who will continue to celebrate his life and legacy.
