January 28, 1948 – December 24, 2023
Patricia Ann Streeter, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, gained
her wings at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North
Carolina, on December 24, 2023.
Patricia, also known to some as Pat, Pretty Ma`dea or TrishAnn, was
a Mother, Sister, Auntie, Grandma, Nanna, and Friend who was and
will always be known as our protection, foundation, BIGGEST FAN,
AND SUPPORTER. If God blessed you to be a part of Patricia’s life,
she was the only cheerleader you needed. One could sleep easy with
Patricia on their side because she was a true advocate who came to
your defense to protect the ones she loved.
Patricia was born to Eli and Cora Collins and had a host of siblings.
The siblings who preceded her in death were Geraldine Collins,
Colon Haywoord, Vaughn Haywood, Atlas Collins, Quinzelle, Cula,
Wooddrow, Roberta, Ida, Eli Collins Jr., and Delphia. She leaves to
cherish her memory, Annie Ruth Morrison, Barbara Streeter, Carolyn
McCaskill, Linda Nicholson, and Dora.
CHILDREN – Patricia Diane Collins (preceded her in death), Lisa Ann
Collins-Hill (David), April Collins, Jessica Michelle (Robinson)Tucker,
and Gabriel Alexis Streeter.
Lynn Streeter, Ray Collins, and Angie White are her nieces and
nephews, but they always held a special place in her heart, and we
consider them siblings.
GRANDCHILDREN – Though Patricia loved watching Perry Mason,
Matt Lock, Murder She Wrote, and The Bold and The Beautiful, her
favorite role was that of a grandparent. Patricia treasured her time with
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved being their Grandma/
Nanna, and never failed to withhold love or affection. Her grandchildren
include James Adrian Pratt, Cornisha Torlonda McGuine, Shalisa
Patrice Miller, Aaron Christopher Norris, Amanda Jade Norris, Michael
Elijah Tucker, Nishelle Denea Winters, Nisean Devan Winters, and
Emma Arianna Peterkin.
GREAT GRANDCHILDREN – A’Ziah Kalaya McGuine, Chyna JaShae
Jackson, Omari DeShun McGuine, Karl Wray Miller IV (K4/Bishop),
Kinley Rose Miller, Ace Carter Norris, Eden Jase Norris
FRIENDS – Patricia had long sisterly bonds with Adrianna Little and
Ann Lane for over twenty-five years.
EMPLOYMENT – Patricia was passionate about Stanly Furniture and
Spring Mills as a Winder and Trainer for many years, Mount Gilead
Elementary as a cafeteria Worker, East Montgomery serving line,
Montgomery County School Bus Driver, Pinehurst Country Club as
a server, and Housekeeping. Her last employer before retiring was
Pinehurst Medical Hospital, where her role was in Environmental
Services. Her work ethic was the most memorable thing from her first
employment to the last. She was the person you always wanted on
your team because you knew the task assigned to her would be done
correctly and on time.
CHURCH/COMMUNITY GROUP – Patricia was a member of Sidney
Grove Church, the Brutonville Concerned Citizens, and an Honorary
member of East Montgomery High School Band Chaperons. For as
long as we can remember, Patricia followed God’s plan for her life
by devoting her time and energy to helping others. Patricia was the
queen of fundraising, whether it was for churches, schools, or raising
money to ensure all children were allowed to attend trips to Carowinds,
Disney World, White Lake, as well as others, but she didn’t stop there.
Patricia loved going to the beach, riding, cruises, and always loved a
house full of family. Everyone who knew Patricia knew how much she
loved family time.
Patricia will always be remembered for a spirit of love, giving, and
giving that hug that always made you feel like everything was alright.
We’ll always imagine hearing her say, “oh good God almighty.” We
couldn’t have asked for a better momma and will miss her daily.
Patricia’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
