Virginia Dare Little was born on September 23, 1938, to the late Jesse J. and Eunice McDonald in Richmond County, North Carolina. Virginia departed this life on Monday, December 14, 2020.
Virginia attended public schools in Richmond County. For many years she worked in the textile industry at Springs Mill in Biscoe, North Carolina, until they closed. She then became employed at Richmond Yarns in Ellerbe, North Carolina, until her retirement.
Virginia was preceded in death by her son Michael Colston, her daughter, ReVirginia McDonald, her sisters, Peggy Little, Gloria McDougal, and a brother, Pastor Richard McDonald.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memories, six children, Curtis Colston, Bobby Little, and Vanessa Ingram, all of Ellerbe, North Carolina, Anthony Little (Joyce), and Vandella Grant (Tony) both of Rockingham, North Carolina, and Darrell Little of West End, North Carolina; two grandchildren that she raised as daughters, Kimberly Robinson (Tyrone) of Ellerbe, North Carolina and Joviner McDonald of Burlington, North Carolina; a special daughter Tonya Little of Ellerbe, North Carolina; six siblings, Edna Crouch, Annette Caviness, Otis McDonald, and Perry McDonald, all of Ellerbe, North Carolina, Tanya Ingram (Jeff) of Rockingham, North Carolina, and Carlvester McDonald (Ann) of West End, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Ann McDonald of Ellerbe, North Carolina; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, special friends, Gene Robinson, Mable Dumas, Lorraine, and Chris Ward, and her partner in crime, one was Ike and the other was Tina, Louise McLaughlin.
Virginia truly loved and respected the relationships that she shared with each of you.
