February 17, 1983 – December 12, 2023
Timothy “Dorell” Smith went to his heavenly home on
December 12, 2023. He was born on February 17, 1983, in Troy,
NC, to Penny Scott of Maryville, Tennessee and the late Timothy
“Timmy” Smith of Biscoe, North Carolina.
Dorell attended East Montgomery High School and later became
an auto detailer at Smith Brothers Detail. He was a devoted father
and loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. He
was full of life and always enjoyed being around people. He was
always there to offer guidance, support and encouragement. He
touched many lives and adored those he kept near to him.
Dorell was preceded in death by his grandfather, Timothy
“Daddy” Smith, and his father, Timothy “Timmy” Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Lauren Smith of Rockingham, North
Carolina; his children, Aaliyah Smith of High Point, North
Carolina and Kaylee Smith, Chazz Smith and Paizlee Smith
all of Rockingham; one grandchild, Hendrixx of High Point; his
mother, Penny Scott of Maryville; his brothers, Kendrick Smith
(Tia) of Pinebluff, North Carolina and Briant Smith (Kendra) of
Biscoe; one sister, Symphony Scott of Maryville; and a host of
devoted nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
