August 31, 1975 – June 19, 2025
On Thursday, June 19, 2025, an Angel was dispatched from Heaven to seal the lips and close the eyes of sister Terease Ann Nicholson for her homegoing journey.
Terease was born August 31, 1975, to Ms. Gladys Nicholson and the late William Earl Nicholson in Moore County, North Carolina. She graduated from Richmond Senior High School in Richmond County, North Carolina. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Rockingham, NC. She was a dedicated and faithful member. She was on the Usher Board and had attained special recognition for excellence as a Doorkeeper in God’s House.
Terease was a very outgoing person; she played sports and was an all-star in school. She also loved school and, through the years, always had perfect attendance. Her health began to fail in 2006.
Teresa was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and devoted friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and came in contact with her.
Terease was preceded in death by her father, William Earl Nicholson; her brothers, Robert Lee Nicholson and William Earl Nicholson II; her grandmothers, Odessa Robinson and Odessa Burch; her aunt, Anita Robinson; and her uncle, Johnny Robinson.
Terease leaves to mourn and cherish her fond memories to, her mother, Gladys R. Nicholson of the home in Ellerbe, NC; her daughter, Roshenqua Nicholson (Reggie) of Rockingham,NC; her son, Deqawn Nicholson of the home; one sister, Arlence Little (Duke) of Rocky Mount, NC; one granddaughter, LeAsia Moore of Rockingham; five grandsons, ZaQawn Nicholson, Josiah Brewington, Zion Moore, Remir Moore, and Reggie Moore Jr., all of Rockingham; five nephews, Darmorio Nicholson, James Little, and Anthony Baldwin, all of Rocky Mount, and Demitrous and Kendrick Little, both of Ellerbe; two nieces, Sinia Campbell and Ciara Baldwin of Rocky Mount; two uncles, Rankin Robinson (Mattie) of Rockingham, and Larry Blue of New York, NY; five aunts, Elizabeth Ingram (Arthur) of Ellerbe, Joyce Wall of Delaware, Nettie Little of High Point, Debra Wilson of Anderson, SC and Evie”Tinker” Ellerbe Potts of Capital Heights, MD; a very special cousin, Dereck Shipp of Atlanta, GA; a goddaughter, Kataria Ratliff; and a host of other relatives and friends.
