October 26, 1967 – August 15, 2022
On Monday, August 15, 2022, Lee McCaskill, a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away at age 54 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Lee was born at Montgomery County Hospital on October 26, 1967, to Lenard and Carolyn McCaskill. He graduated in 1987 from Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, NC, and continued his education with a masonry degree from Fayetteville Tech in 1989. Shortly afterward, Lee owned and operated his brick mason business for about two years. From there until his passing, he worked for Oliver Rubber in Asheboro, NC, for 19 years. During his lifetime, Lee had a strong passion for fishing. He also loved to play checkers with friends and spend time with his family. Lee was a father to one son, Eric McCaskill, who he loved and spoiled tremendously. His family and friends will remember him as a jokester, as he would always joke around and have fun. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Brandon Crutchfield. Lee is survived by his son, Eric Lee McCaskill, and Eric’s wife, Takina A. McCaskill, who Lee loved as his own daughter; his parents, Lenard McCaskill of the home and Carolyn McCaskill of Jackson Springs, NC; two brothers, Tommy McCaskill (Andrea) of Foxfire Village, NC and Thomas Wall (Katrina) of Ashley Heights, NC; three sisters, Penelope McCaskill and Carolyn McCaskill both of Candor, NC, and Tasha Covington of Jackson Springs, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; he leaves to cherish his memory, a special friend, Angelia Robertson; a best friend, Billie Taylor, and her three daughters and grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Papa,” and his close friends Lester Hannah, and James Rush (Tookie). Lee will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and those who knew him. May God wrap his loving arms around Lee forever and always.Funeral Service
