On Monday, August 3, 2020 Eunice Geraldine Simmons Capel transitioned into her new life as an Ancestor…..She was born to Horace and Elizabeth McNeil Simmons on December 22, 1949. Both parents preceded her in death. Also preceding Eunice in death was brother Charles and sister Della.

Eunice was a native of Moore County, NC.  She was christened at an early age and attended Providence Presbyterian Church, which she joined later.  She was Sunday School Secretary, Teacher, Elder and Session Clerk at Providence. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Eunice was married to Elmer Capel Jr. In addition to Elmer she leaves to cherish her memories, two sons Derrick Jerome (Aurora) of Mansfield, TX and Daryl Andre of Candor, NC. Four grandchildren; Rosa Elena, Xavier, Adrian, and DeAndre. Sisters: Claudine Allen (Anthony) of Fayetteville, NC.; Felecia Christian (Walter) of Fayetteville, NC. Brothers: Horace Simmons Jr. (Cynthia) of Denver, CO.; Milton Simmons, Eagle Springs, NC.; Lazarus Simmons, Fayetteville, NC.; Joseph Simmons (Caherine) Durham, NC.; Mack Simmons, Biscoe, NC.; Raymond Simmon, Stem, NC.; Timothy Simmons, Jackson Springs, NC. Eunice has many nieces, nephews, and cousins who she was very proud of.

    My heartfelt condolences to Daryl & the family.. Eunice and I taught school together ar Candor. She was a lovely lady and an excellent teacher. Her life made a difference!

    Eunice was one of the loveliest, gentlest souls I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Her quiet strength was an inspiration to all. A wonderful teacher, co-worker and most importantly a lady I admired. Love to you all.

    Eunice was a such a easy going spirit person to know. I enjoyed knowing her and working with her. It was an honor and a privilege. She was a unique person and everyone loved her. She will be missed. It was a privilege to have known her.
