October 20, 1961 – November 7, 2020
Delbert Andrew Capel son of the late Verlise and Patsy C Jackson was born on October 20, 1961 at Richmond Memorial Hospital, Rockingham NC.
He peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on Saturday, November 7,2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Delbert was a member of St Peters Holiness Church, he was educated at Richmond Senior High School in Rockingham NC. Delbert took great pride in the numerous certifications he received: “Bartending certification” from RCC, “Blueprint and Precision Reading certification” from MCC and “Truck Driving certification” from JCC. Delbert was also was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was employed at Biscoe Foundry for over twenty years and for the last seven years he worked at Schaeffler Group in Cheraw, SC until his health declined.
Delbert was most enthusiastic when it came to holidays because it meant Family, good food and being able to express his love by watching his loved ones opening Christmas presents. He was always the first one at everyone’s house to wake them up to open their gifts. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his wife of 28 years Paulette Capel, one daughter Jasmine Pegues (Chris) of Ellerbe NC . One son Delbert Jamal Capel of Charlotte NC, one Adopted daughter Keisha Brown (Tavalas) of Mcdonough GA. Three Grandchildren; Areille “Shay”, Christopher “Button” and Andrew “Drew”. Two sisters; Sophronia Smith(Ray) of Ellerbe NC, Fontella Scott(Wayne) of Chester PA and a host of nieces and nephews that loved him very much. Two special friends that he considered his brothers: Gregory Clarke and Darryl Patterson.
