Calvin Wainwright Lomax, age 74, entered his eternal rest on Saturday, January 30, 2021. He was born on June 5, 1946 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Audrey Davidson-Lomax and Miller William Lomax Sr. Calvin attended McKinley Senior high school in Washington D.C., graduating in the class of 1964. He then went on to attend Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida, and later spent time working in the US Postal Services.

 Left to mourn his loss is his daughter Kimberly and grandchildren Jeffrey and Sydney Lomax, mother Audrey Lomax-Cannon, brother Aubrey Kent Lomax, sister-in-law Kathy Lomax, nieces Tamara, Melissa, and Maxine Lomax, nephew Darryl Lomax Sr., great nephews Adonis Lomax and Darryl Lomax Jr. Preceding him in death is his brother Miller William Lomax Jr. and niece, Nakiah Lomax. The Elite Funeral Home in Ellerby, NC will be serving the family.

    Dear Family, It was so nice to visit you all when I did in the summer of 2019. It was very nice to reminisce with Callie about him taking me to school when I had missed the bus. In fact, he reminded me of this. I had forgotten. I am sorry for your loss. He was very dear to you both.
